Capoeira Luanda is an organization that practices, teaches, and demonstrates the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira in Austin, Texas. Classes are taught under the expert supervision of ContraMestre Esquilo, who has over 20 years of experience in capoeira. Our school's founder, Mestre Jelon is the pioneer of capoeira in the United States. We share our Mestre's legacy with other Capoeira Luanda schools all over the United States and worldwide.
The studio will be closed November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Thank you to all who have served! See everyone back in class on Thursday!

We offer capoeira instruction in a friendly, inviting group setting. Our classes are for all levels, and incorporate dynamic stretching, conditioning, and skill training.
Our weekly music class offers students a fun way to learn traditional capoeira songs and instruments. Songs are taught in Portuguese with English translations. The instruments you will learn include the berimbau, pandeiro, and atabaque.
